Book Review - Word of Promise: New Testament

Do you have a busy schedule? Feel you don't have the time to sit down and study your bible? Do you want to spice up your sermons, bible study or lectures? This audio book will blow you away and fulfill your needs. Created in a dramatic theater style experience it will remind the older generations of the radio theaters they listened to as youngsters and will introduce youngsters to radio theater. I was enthralled by the end of the first chapter and a devoted fan by the end of disk one! Not only are the sounds helpful to pull you into the bible as you never have been before but the actors are superb and believable. I was especially excited when I discovered Jim Caviezel (The Passion of the Christ, Deja vu) was reprising his role as Jesus for this series. Other notable actors lend their talents such as Richard Dreyfuss as Moses (Quotes), Marisa Tomei as Mary Magdelene, Stacy Keach as Paul, Louis Gossett Jr as John and Kimberly Williams-Paisley as Mary, mother to Jesus. And those are just the tip of the iceberg!

This audio book comes in a convenient carrying case that hold the 20 CD's and also has a bonus DVD with Behind-the-Scenes information with interviews and such. It is a must have for those with busy schedules and also a great way to make the bible come alive for your children.

This audio book was given to me by Thomas Nelson Publishing for the purpose of review. I was not paid or coerced to give a good review.
